Satan.

This is my first digital work EVER, so go easy on me.

Inspired by the Satan portrayal from Mel Gibson's "The Passion of the Christ".

In movies, they usually portray Satan in kind of a cheesy, hokey way. But this was the first time I'd seen Satan in a movie where it actually disturbed me. If you've seen the movie, you will know.

Except this time, I made it look as though he/she had possessed the body of either a leper or a corpse.

Originally, I had done this with oil pastels but was unsatisfied with the texture, so I re-painted over it with airbrushing in Photoshop.

And yep, the skin and features are supposed to look disgusting, discolored and disfigured - not only does Satan assume the form of a leper, but the disfigurations also allude to an imperfect nature. Also, I figured since Satan is neither alive nor dead, the body he/she* assumes should look like it could be either.

Okay, end of my long-ass description. XD

*(I say he/she because in the movie, the devil was played by a woman, but in the Bible, it's a male.)
